The EarRegulars
Feat. JoN-Erik Kellso, Matt Munisteri, Scott Robinson and Barry Stephenson
The EarRegulars, one of the preeminent trad-jazz groups in NYC, features leaders Jon-Erik Kellso on trumpet and Matt Munisteri on guitar. They play swinging, melodic classic jazz, i.e. everything from New Orleans style through the tin pan alley classics, the swing era, and mainstream jazz. They approach traditional jazz in an open-minded, in-the-moment way. This band often smiles and laughs (yes--even on stage!), and is not ashamed of this.
Trumpeter Jon-Erik Kellso moved from Detroit, Michigan to New York City in 1989 to join Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, and has since enjoyed performing and recording with many greats, including Ralph Sutton, Dan Barrett, Milt Hinton, Bob Haggart, Dick Hyman, Catherine Russell, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Kat Edmonson, Elvis Costello, Linda Ronstadt, Leon Redbone, Wycliffe Gordon, Bob Wilbur, and Kenny Davern. Recent engagements include a week in Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola with Wynton Marsalis celebrating Louis Armstrong's Hot 5s and 7s; leading The EarRegulars at the Detroit Jazz Fest, Moab Music Fest, and the Bohém Ragtime and Jazz Fest in Hungary; and jazz festivals and concerts in New Orleans and all over the world.
A freewheeling and virtuosic guitarist, Matt Munisteri currently gets to work with a wide variety of artists at the top of their game across the jazz and American roots music spectrum. Better still, he finds that these twin jobs as a sideman and a leader only serve to complement one another. When not working on his own projects his primary sideman gigs for the last few years have been playing with violinist Mark O’Connor’s Hot Swing; Steven Bernstein’s Millennial Territory Orchestra; and with the singer Catherine Russell, for whom he also currently serves as Music Director. He also recently lent a hand to his friend, guitarist Julian Lage, producing Julian’s acclaimed solo guitar debut “Worlds Fair” (2015).

Rhythm Future Quartet Feat. Evan Arntzen
Celebrated for their blazing tempos, lush melodies, and impeccable groove, Rhythm Future Quartet is at the forefront of the modern Gypsy jazz revival — carrying forward the spirit of Django Reinhardt with stunning originality. With violinist and Kittery native Jason Anick on violin, Max O’Rourke and Henry Acker on guitars, and Greg Loughman on bass, Rhythm Future is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of this vital musical genre.
Adding an extra spark to the evening is clarinetist, saxophonist and singer Evan Arntzen. Known for his work with vocalist Catherine Russell and trumpeter Bria Skonberg, Evan brings a rich tone, soulful phrasing, and deep roots in the New Orleans tradition that Grammy award-winning jazz historian Ricky Riccardi calls “the very definition of timeless.”
Expect fiery solos, tight ensemble work, and the kind of musical chemistry that only happens when world-class musicians get together to celebrate the joy of swing.

Matt and Atla DeChamplain
Vocalist Atla & pianist Matt DeChamplain are not only world class musicians but also high school sweethearts. They met when Atla was 15 & Matt was 16, and have been performing together ever since.
“We started as best friends. We were both studying jazz music at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts (a performing arts magnet school), and we loved the same musicians: Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Jon Hendricks, Nat King Cole… We’d stay after school and work on music together. Jazz was really the foundation for our friendship. We just loved sharing our passion for the music. …looking back, we had an amazing journey together, and I especially appreciate how our personal relationship gave us the opportunity to challenge each other musically. We’re always sharing new records…new sounds with each other and encouraging each other to develop and grow.” -Atla
The couple have played venues all over the U.S. such as The American Stage Theater (FL), The Side Door (CT), The Steinway Gallery (MI), The Monterey Jazz Festival (CA), The Valentine Theater (OH), Millennium Hall at the Kennedy Center (Wash. D.C.) Provincetown Jazz Festival (MA) and a weeklong engagement at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola (Jazz at Lincoln Center, NYC) opening for acclaimed vocalist Freddy Cole, brother of Nat King Cole. They have had the good fortune of sharing the stage collectively and independently with such artists as Jon Henricks, Dave Brubeck, Jimmy Cobb, Nat Reeves, Ken Peplowski, and many others.
